Band Recording

We, [.DESCARGA.], are spending the weekend out in Wisconsin recording some new songs for your listening pleasure. Our studio of choice is Howl Street Recordings, with Hochstetler handling his business the only way he knows how. Things are going great!

After this weekend's recording we'll be working on upcoming performances taking place out of state. We're hoping to hit the east and west coast before the end of the year. Hit me up if you're out in those areas so we can meet up while we're out there.

I've got some other great news to share once I return from Wisconsin. Keep posted to this blog and my Twitter @maciasthedj for updates on upcoming gigs and new releases.

Show: Debonaire Social Club - Echonine

It was great to play at Green Dolphin on Thursday for The Pinker Tones show. What a great band with tons of energy, definitely a band after my own heart. They've got a dance sensibility with a mod rock attitude...musicians and song writers who like to get down and dirty and sweat. It was great.

Some of the artists I included in my two sets from that night included Fever Ray, Gemini Club, Miami Horror and Dragonette. Links to videos are included below. Check them out and show them love.

Make sure to check out RatioNation's page for upcoming events, and follow The Pinker Tones on their site as they continue their US Tour.

My next performance is this Thursday with Echonine

History
In “Pinkerland,” a tiny rooftop studio in the center of Barcelona, the Pinker Tones put together their first album, ‘The Pink Connection’, which was released in 2003 in Japan it was released under the name ‘Mission Pink’ on the Japanese label Rambling Records.

The Pinker Tones inked a deal with UK label Outstanding Records to release their debut album worldwide under a new name: ‘The BCN Connection’. Thanks to the fantastic videos for the singles “Mais Pourquoi?” and “Viva la Juventud”, The Pinker Tones started to appear regularly on MTV Europe and other channels around the world. The video for “Mais Pourquoi?” spent 19 weeks in the top 20 on MTV Spain’s Dance Floor Chart. During this time, they produced various albums and singles for Spanish and international bands, they composed a couple of film soundtracks (Sincopat & Survival Train) and they dedicated some of their time to experimenting with remixes.
